Sitting on (mostly) FOs
No energy for photos at this point due to tummy troubles :(, but I'll get some taken soon! The Cecilia sweater needs only a zipper installation -- the booga bag needs to be felted and assembled -- and the Seton blanket just has to be laundered and driven to the hospital! It feels awesome being done with these things.
The project I named "carseat pads" is really just a little handful of soft, squooshy crocheted cotton rectangles that will be laced onto the shoulders straps of Brent's carseats. When he falls asleep during a car ride (which is often) he gets these awful red marks on his poor little neck where those rough strap edges cut into his skin. It's such a tiny project it probably shouldn't count as one, but oh well. I have to be proud of every moment of craftiness I manage to squeak in lately.
What's up next? I'm starting to swatch some Ornaghi Filati Midas Touch (color 06) for a dressy wrap for my grandmother. She chose the yarn and means to wear it to a wedding in October and I hope she'll get tons of compliments. Aside from that, I have the yarn and am raring to get going on the pink and brown hoodie (whose name I really need to learn) from Big Girl Knits. I'll blog the yarn and colors when I start on it. I will probably also be starting a stuffed turtle toy I've been itching to make for quite a while; I envision that eventually getting shipped off to Chicago for my friend Ruth's baby boy, David.
Also being pondered: a Mitered Mozart in Red Heart Soft autumn colors for my sis-in-law, a diagonals jacket in Ana's purple/blue handspun for Ana, a pair of luxurious socks in SP-gifted burgundy Regia Silk for myself, another Caron Simply Soft Seton blanket, a self-designed textured tshirt for my father, a yoga mat bag for Aunt Dianne ...and the list goes on and on.
