Happy Birthday, Emily :)

We had a birthday party at Gauge this weekend and it was a blast!

Here's the birthday girl opening presents:

Wow, she got a lot of yarn... imagine that. (And stitchmarkers. She has enough stitchmarkers to open a store now, hehehe.)

Everyone ooh'ed and ah'ed over the pretty new yarns (and Ana and Sheva obviously found something really funny):

Emily self-catered a great spread of fresh fruit, cold cuts, olives, bread, and fancy cheeses accompanied by champagne, Italian sodas, and homemade gelato (my new favorite thing in the world is blood orange gelato!):

We watched some classic Wallace & Gromit:

And, of course, knitted:

Emily brought in her Christmas Garland in progress and invited us all to contribute links for it:

I had to bring mine home to finish it 'cause I'm the slowest knitter in Austin. :P

All in all, a really nice party! Emily is a sweet, wonderful lady and I hope this is a wonderful year in her life. Cheers, Emily! :)
