It's the moooost wonderful tiiiime of the yeeear... Oh, it's not Christmas yet! but it's the first month of Secret Pal II gift exchange! My first package came today (see a photo at http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ceci9293/detail?.dir=/f502&.dnm=c7a3.jpg.) I know everyone's been so thrilled with their pals and the gift choices etc, and I have to say that my pal was apparently the PERFECT choice for me. I mean, I know I'm easy to buy for. I kinda wear my heart/opinions/wishes all on my giant oversized sleeve, and in bright colors to boot! But the Stanley Coren book is one I will probably give up sleep to read, and the baby yarns, well... It's a hopeful time of month for me today and I'm so excited with the perfect gauge and colors that I'm finally starting that baby sweater TONIGHT (well, swatching anyway.) I discussed with Ana and found that my impulsive plans for a baby-sized Janda won't be easy to produce, so I'm going with a Debbie Bliss kimono instead. Not to worry, it will be tooth-decayingly precious. And I've chosen blues, so God *will* give me a girl. ;) Anyway, the gifts were thoughtful and hit their mark perfectly. If you read this, Pal, YOU'RE THE BEST!!

Hey, check out my industriousness: click on the WIP names to the right to see updated photos of:

Soho Turtle -- I need to finish this sleeve. See the puppies? I charted those myself! I also created the little heart between the puppies that looks like an amoeba. :( Lesson to me: small shapes don't read so well. The second sleeve only has the intarsia'ed cuff done and I need to pick up and do the stripes up. Join everything together and add the turtleneck. And voila!!

Novelty Scarf -- Pictured here on me AND on my dog! After all, it IS the "Reese Brown Scarf," so why shouldn't Reese get to model it? :)

Ana's purple wristlets AKA gauntlets -- Ana shall have cold hands and wrists at work no more! Ana likes the clever thumbhole. :)

And lastly, one of Ana's projects which she made for me to decorate my office. A true work of art in my opinion. A stashbuster in Ana's opinion. :) (It's made almost entirely of leftover Lion Brand Homespun.) --> Wall Hanging...on the floor. Go figure.
